Ratatouille

Ratatouille is a French vegetable vegetarian dish. Easy to prepare, but very tasty, it has earned great popularity all over the world. The well-known cartoon of the same name “Ratatouille” also played an important role in the popularization of this dish. If the little mouse managed to cook this dish, then really we will not succeed?

We need:

✔ 1-2 zucchini

✔ 1-2 eggplant

✔ 3 tomatoes

✔ 1 clove of garlic

✔ salt

✔ vegetable oil

✔ parsley

For the sauce:

✔ 3-4 pcs. tomato

✔ 3-4 pcs. bell peppers

✔ 1 onion

✔ 1 tsp Sahara

✔ vegetable oil

✔ parsley and basil

✔ salt

Step 1

Wash the eggplants, cut into 5 mm circles, season with salt and leave for 20 minutes. Then rinse from salt and dry. Wash tomatoes, zucchini and cut into circles, like eggplants.

Step 2

Peel the onion, cut into cubes and fry in vegetable oil until soft. Wash the pepper, remove the seeds, cut into cubes and add to the pan to the onion. Stir and fry for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Grate the tomatoes.

Add tomatoes to onions and peppers. Add sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Stir and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes. At the very end of cooking, add chopped basil and parsley.

Step 4

Place the sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Put vegetables on the sauce alternatingly. Salt.

Chop the garlic and herbs finely and sprinkle with ratatouille, drizzle with oil. Cover the form with foil and put it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 1.5 hours. Then remove the foil and bake for another 25-30 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the finished ratatouille from the oven and let it brew for 15-20 minutes. Serve the ratatouille with the remaining sauce.
